Pete entertained us with a demonstration of off centre turning.

Ben a demonstration of making Bangles from laminated wood and Acrylic. A fiddly job, but someone has to do it!!




Visit to Stiles and Bates.

A great visit to Stiles and Bates in November, we were made very welcome, and had a demonstration by David of his Sawmills, as well as an opportunity to browse in the shop.



Our April meeting was "graced" by Chris! Who gave his his unique brand of informative and amusing demonstration skills. Chris showed us how to make doughnuts, how to drill theme using Forstner bits and the techniques best to use.

A great evening and thanks to Chris Grace for a very entertaining evening.

In March we had a great demonstration evening by Gary Rance who shared some anecdotes (mostly aimed at our friend Les Thorne!) and showed us his skills at production turning as well as some intricate items.

After the disappointment of having to cancel our January meeting (due to Demonstrators' illnesses) In February we welcomed Colin Wells from Amberley Museum.

December Meeting

Our December meeting was a seasonal event where Patrick intrigued us with his demonstration, which moved along a lot quicker than the subject matter!
Thanks to all who attended and for the great selection of "Nibbles". Well done to the Competition winners, Paul & Jim

Winner of the Novice Category was new member and expert cake maker, Paul Silvey. Well done Paul.

And the winner of the Experienced Category, the best Christmas Jumper, and receiving the Ray Miller Memorial Trophy was Jim Cullen

Well done to all who submitted pieces to the Competition, get turning, the next Competition will be in April next year.
